About Bayview Home for the Elderly

The idea of the Bayview Cheshire Home for Elderly Persons wishing to live independently with pride and dignity, took off in 2007.

It was decided to rent out accommodation to elderly folk (60 and over) who were exposed to difficult circumstances such as poverty, crime, etc.  Persons wanted to lead independent lives were selected.  Rooms were renovated and equipped in order to improve the opportunity to live independently in a safe environment.  A stove, refrigerator, beds and built-in cupboards were installed in each room.  Financial funding was provided by National Lotteries, to whom we are most grateful.

Only the most deserving applicants were considered. Family co-responsibility played a significant role in the selection process.  Regular visits of family members, attending to needs, medical and otherwise of the elderly, is encouraged.

The Home is full to capacity and we have a waiting list for this much needed service which is not in receipt of any funding from Government.
